This is an illustration did a little while ago for New Escapologist magazine. The image accompanied a short story entitled, "A Danger" written by Scottish emerging author Allan Wilson.
You might be able to tell that this illustration looks a little different than my typical style. I decided to try experimenting using a felt brush pen as opposed to my Lamy fountain pens.
Many thanks to my friends over at New Escapologist and for all the incredible thought, dedication, and inspiration. Really, you should check them out.

Here is a portrait sketch I did last night of the famous Czech composer Antonín Dvořák. He certainly has a face that I could draw over and over again, just as I can listen to his music over and over again.
I saw Dvořák's opera "Rusalka" a few months back and it left me enchanted. Up till then, I had only been familiar with his more famous symphonies and slavic dances. Perhaps it was the visual elements layered on top of his music, or the inherent tragedy within the story, or even my state of mind that evening, but regardless, the opera surpassed all my experiences with Dvořák prior. I highly encourage anyone to seek it out.
