Order of the Good Death

I just had the great fortune of being featured on the website of the "Order of the Good Death." I could not be more excited about this.

Click here to read their post.

If you have not heard about the "Order of the Good Death" I highly HIGHLY recommend you check them out. Our society can learn much from them.

The Order was started by Caitlin, of "Ask a Mortician" fame.  Click here to see one of her brilliant webisodes.

New Magazine Illustration!

Here is another illustration that I recently did for Ghettoblaster magazine. They always give the best assignments.

This illustration was for a feature on a New Zealand recording label called "Flying Nun Records."

Thanks again to Tracey and David for getting me this assignment.

Onward...

By the time he was twenty-seven, Harold had efficiently and frugally managed both of his parents' funerals

Here is an illustration from my recent book "Crosswalk."

The New Yorker

A couple months back I had posted that my entry into the New Yorker Eustace Tilley contest had been selected as one of the finalists. I had assumed that they had also already selected the grand prize winner. I was wrong.

I was contacted a little while ago and told that they had chosen my drawing as the winner. This means that they have now printed my drawing on a book tote and are selling it at the famous bookstore "The Strand" in New York.

Here is a link to their press release page

They sent me a few samples of the bags, and I have to say it is quite odd (in the best possible way) to see my drawing printed directly on the bag. I can not, though, quite bring myself to walk around with one of them. I would feel too self-conscious.
