Pencils Complete

Today I finished up all the pencils for the remainder of the graphic novel.

My trusty Moleskine pencils countdown may now be put to rest.

Penciled Page of Perspective

This is a page for the graphic novel which I just finished penciling.

While I really struggle with perspective, my good friend Dan (of Space Mullet fame) always sets me straight with good advice. The top panel on this page was made ten times easier from a trick he showed me a while back.

Thank you again, Dan; I owe you for so many things that I'm losing track.

If you haven't seen Dan's work, go here now. You won't be disappointed.

Penciling, penciling, penciling...

I am closing in on finishing up the blue pencil sketches for the graphic novel.

The final stub count is pending.

In a couple weeks its back to having ink-covered hands.

Old Sketch

I was going through some old files on my computer tonight and I found this sketch I did almost two years ago.

It still creeps me out.

Illustration Capillary Action

I've discovered that if I rest the tip of one of my fountain pens on my finger and let it sit there for about ten seconds, capillary action goes wild.

I warn you, it's addictive once you've started. I don't recommend this activity the night before a job interview or if you are a dental hygienist.
